As many as 64 suspects including Afghan nationals were arrested and arms were recovered from their possession during search operation in different areas on Saturday.
According to details, the police and other law enforcement agencies (LEAs) personnel conducted joint operations in various localities of the provincial capital, Peshawar during which they checked the CNICs and other documents of the residents and other people present in different areas.
The LEAs arrested 64 suspects including 10 Afghan citizens besides recovering two Kalashnikovs, three pistols and hundreds of rounds.
Separate cases have been registered against the detainees at respective police stations and they were being interrogated.
