LAYYAH:
A man thrashed his wife and when she fell unconscious due to violent beating, he hanged her to death with a tree to make it look like a suicide, according to sources.
The woman was from Sohiya Thal in the Kot Sultan area.
Abdullah, a local villager, said Hattan was 10 years older than Majeed and he had contracted marriage with her only in revenge. They had a two year old daughter, according to sources.
Majeed wanted to contract second marriage with another woman but Hattan did not give him permission to do so.
During interrogation, Majeed confessed to killing her.
Police have registered a case against Majeed and his brother Ghulam Fareed and put both of them behind bars.
