Dengue viral fever has claimed another life in Karachi and increased the death toll to three in 2015, while 100 more dengue cases were confirmed within a week in the city.
Sources of the Health Department Sindh confirmed that a 28-year old man, resident of Qayyumabad, was brought to a private hospital for treatment a week ago. He died during treatment other day. The diagnostics reports confirmed that man was suffering from dengue fever.
They informed that 100 more dengue viral fever cases were reported across Karachi within a week, increasing the number of the confirmed dengue cases to 532 in the city this year. All three dengue deaths in Sindh have been reported from Karachi so far.
As many as 362 dengue fever cases have been reported since January 2015, out of them 332 in Karachi, while 18 cases in other parts of Sindh province. However, 12 dengue cases were reported from the Balochistan province.
