Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) senior leader, MNA Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Safdar has challenged the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan to quit the two seats he won in the general election of 2013 and contest election against him.
Talking to media persons outside the Parliament House on Wednesday, Capt. Safdar said, “Imran Khan’s politics is based on staging sit-ins instead of serving the masses of the constituency and people of the province where his party was in government.”
He said that the PTI chair has planned to remain in opposition until 2025, and he will be planning his next sit-in after enjoying his ‘Honey Moon’.
The PML-N MNA said that PTI’s ‘Dharnas’ already spoiled eight precious months of the country and masses, and now he is planning more sit-ins, which would repeat the same fruitless practice.
Capt. Safdar rejected the PTI chief’s allegations regarding printing of 70,000 addition ballot papers in his constituency.
Responding to question, he said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government was worried about its own security, how could it provide security to him (Safdar) and other party leaders.
He alleged that KP Chief Minister, Pervaiz Khattak, due to security concerns spent most of his time in Islamabad, and asked how anyone could make any demand regarding the provision of security from him.
