The Pakistan Army is rendering invaluable services and giving unprecedented sacrifices in the operation Zarb-e-Azb and thousands of soldiers have laid their lives while fighting against the terrorists, said Punjab Governor Malik Rafique Rajwana at the Governor House on Tuesday in a meeting with Lahore Corps Commander Lieutenant General Naveed Zaman. Matters of mutual interest and overall situation of the country were discussed during the meeting.
The governor praised the professional capability of the armed forces.
He said that the armed forces have achieved splinted victories in the war against terrorism.
“The army has also played an active and key role in the global peace and it has taken part in different UN missions across the world,” he said.
“The entire nation is standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the political and military leadership in the war against terrorism,” he added.
The corps commander extended heartiest congratulations to Rafique Rajwana on assuming the office as governor of the province.
