Child labour

Education is a main factor in effectively reducing child labour. Child labour is diverse and volatile.

Children do manual labour for the sake of money which they to buy food and other items of basic necessity. Can you imagine this situation: A 10-year -old boy comes to a workshop for work because his mother is sick and she requires medicine?

The main responsibility in reducing child labour is on us. We should not allow underage children to do work, provide them financial support, create welfare groups, provide them education, shelter and food.

The government also has an important role to play. It needs to make and implement appropriate law against child labour. It should also take care of the homeless children, their shelter, food, education and all basic needs. NGOs can be, and in some cases are, quite instrumental in curbing this menace.

A mixture of efforts by the aforementioned is what we need to make sure that every child goes to school and doesn’t have to go through child labour.

  1. it is the duty of the government to give free compulsory education to children, without which child labour cannot be eradicated. The reason is that children will always be used for labour by the poor parents if they are left roaming about idly doing nothing.

  2. Universal education for all is the answer to the problem. It is the duty of the state to educate each child of school going age. Children are forced in the labor work . These little angels feed their families. When the state fails to provide basic needs this sort of things happen in the society.

Lack of education leads to degeneration and waste of resources. It also creates hurdles in the way of progress and welfare of the people. It is economy stupid. Money makes the mare go. We can not run on empty stomach. It will be foolish to do so. We must create opportunities and exploit the resources bestowed upon us by Allah. We must honestly work for the progress of the country. All of us should take the responsibility.

NGOS have been exploiting people in need and making money through unsuspecting donors. They have not lived up to the people's expectations. In a corrupt society how can they be any different from others. These organizations should be registered and monitored. Their funds must be audited properly and strictly in conformity to laws.

The laws already exist on the books, these need to be strictly adhered to and implemented. we must formulate appropriate policies for economic progress, and building a welfare state. The Jinnah's Welfare State.
