KARACHI:
An assistant professor at the University of Karachi was shot dead Wednesday afternoon when four ‘unidentified’ attackers riding two motorbikes opened fire on his car, according to local media sources.
Dr Syed Wahid ur Rehman, also known as Yasir Rizvi, was an instructor at the Karachi University’s Mass Communication department, reported sources.
According to reports, Dr Rehman got shot five times with wounds on his face, neck, chest, abdomen and arm.
He was later taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital in Karachi, where he succumbed to his wounds.
