The Islamabad Police have arrested 15 suspects during search operation in various areas of the city, a police spokesman said on Saturday.
He said Islamabad IGP Tahir Alam Khan directed all SDPOs and SHOs to enhance patrolling as well as checking in various areas of the city and conduct search operation at slum areas, Afghan habitats, under construction buildings, workshops, bus stands and inns. Following his directions, sub-divisional police officers performing in Islamabad headed this search operation in the areas of Sabzi Mandi Police Station.
They succeeded in nabbing 15 suspects who are being investigated further. Islamabad SSP Mir Vais Niaz has said the purpose of this search operation and high vigilance is to ensure foolproof security in the city and he further directed all SHOs to continue it.
CAR LIFTERS HELD:
Moreover, Islamabad Police arrested eight outlaws including two car lifters and seized car, bike, cash, liquor and weapons from their possession, a police spokesman said.
On the special directions of Islamabad Inspector General of Police Tahir Alam Khan, SP (Investigation) Muhammad Ilyas constituted a special team headed by in-charge ACLC Cell police Fayyaz Ranjha to arrest those involved in car-lifting incidents.
This team including ASI Sarfraz and others worked hard and succeeded to nab two car-lifters besides recovering stolen car and pistol along with ammunition from them. The nabbed persons have been identified as Khalid khan and Sakhi Mola.
Further investigation is underway from them and police is hopeful for more recovery from them. Meanwhile, Aabpar police arrested a bike lifter Shohaib and recovered stolen bike from him. On the tip off police raided at Sector G-7/2 and recovered 120 litres of liquor and bottles.
Lohi Bher Police arrested two accused Mustafa Bloch and Nadeem Arshad and seized snatched cash from their possession.
Sihala Police arrested accused Muhammad Ejaz and recovered one 30-bore illicit pistols along with ammunition from him. Industrial Area police arrested Akeel Khan a fraudster portraying themselves as officials of Excise and Taxation office.
Tarnol Police arrested drug pusher namely Mazhar Khan and recovered 500gram heroine from him. Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them.
