An alleged gang war activist was killed in an encounter in Lyari on Friday.
According to police, a gangster, Awais alias Mama, 25, was killed a shootout with police at Khajoor Market Lyari. Police said that gangster allegedly opened fire on them and he was killed in retaliatory firing. He was wanted by the police in different crimes, including bomb attacks, extortion and murder. Police said he was linked to the Uzair Baloch group.
