A 12-year-old minor girl from Ghotki was raped by merciless and sick minded men. Later the victim burnt herself alive due to release of one of the culprits on bail. Her poor mother while rescuing her caught fire and received serious burns and was in severe condition. She succumbed to the burn injuries and the report of her death was revealed when I was writing this letter.
Justice either slow or speedy is an extinct species in our country. The sad news of the demise of these mother and daughter has deeply dejected us. Why are heinous crimes of such magnitude not halted iron-handedly by the custodians of law and order? Such crimes of wild nature are psychologically affecting us, specifically our children. The callous criminals should be swiftly brought to justice and must not be tolerated.
Why are such criminals allowed to move freely in our societies? Isn’t it a slap in the face of those responsible for the law and justice in our country?
