Pakistan Twenty20 (T20) captain Shahid Khan Afridi has on Sunday said that he decided to retire from One-Day International (ODI) and Test cricket on his own. He said that he would continue playing T20 as long as he felt himself as physically fit, reported a daily news channel.
Talking to media at a local school, Shahid Afridi said that he enjoyed his 19 years of cricket and decided to retire on his own. He said that the national team consisted now of the youngsters and hoped that Pakistan would perform well in 2016 World Cup.
Afridi said that he was still doing social work. “We are working on providing filtration plants in many areas of Punjab where clean drinking water wasn’t available while working on similar projects for Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) and other cities”, added Afridi.
