ISLAMABAD:

The government and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have signed a seven-page memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the formation of a judicial commission to probe the alleged rigging in May 2013 elections. The pact will be legally binding after an ordinance is issued to this effect, according to sources.

PTI leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar signed the document that stipulates the commission to file its report within 45 days.

Ordinance will be promulgated across Pakistan with immediate effect from the date of its announcement.
