At least two dacoits were killed while one was arrested in injured condition during an alleged police shootout on Wednesday in Defence.
As per details, four dacoits were trying to escape after robbery near midnight when they encountered with police.
The robbers fired shot at the police officials, retaliating to which two of the robbers identified as Awais Khan and Obaidullah were killed while one of their companion was arrested in injured condition and another managed to escape.
According to police, the robbers belong to Afghan dacoit gang and were wanted in several cases.
The police also confiscated tracker jamming devices, number plates of cars and weapons from their possession whereas further investigation is underway in this regard.
Moreover, the dead bodies of the robbers were sent for autopsy.
