Metrobus test-run conducted, project likely to complete by April

The first ever compete test-run of Metrobus from Rawalpindi to Islamabad was conducted aimed at checking the safety and comfort level of the transport.

The test run of multi-billion rupees Metrobus started from Flashman Chowk Rawalpindi Cantt and it ended at Peshawar Mor Islamabad.

Sources said that the test drive was carried without observing safety measures. Experts monitoring the test drive raised serious questions about the bumpy track and other technical glitches including vibration on the elevated track at the Mareer Chowk railway track.

It should be mentioned that Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has given deadline for completion of projects which has increased the worries of Metrobus Project Implementation Committee as the project doesn’t seem to be completed by the extended announced deadline.

Rawalpindi Commission Capt Zahid Saeed assured that Metrobus will be comfortable more than the expectations of the citizens. To a query he vowed that the project would be completed in April.
