The Karachi Electric has requested NEPRA for increasing electricity tariff by 81 paisas per unit.
The K Electric has taken the plea in the petition that 1,01,00,00,000 units were sold to consumers during the month of January and on the other hand cost of fuel consumed in generating electricity has scaled up by Rs 814.1 million, therefore, tariff be enhanced by paisas 81 per unit under the head of fuel adjustment surcharge. NEPRA has admitted petition for hearing on March 19 at NEPRA headquarters.
