Condemning frequent incidents of target killing in the city, Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) senior leader Haider Abbas Rizvi urged the government to take immediate action against target killers.
Speaking during a press conference on Monday, he said that the killing of MQM workers had become a routine matter in the city.
“MQM worker Imran Rizvi was killed last night in Malir’s Shadman town. While doctors, engineers and other professionals are also being killed on daily basis,” he told the media men.
Rizvi said that terrorists from banned outfits are involved in target killings; unfortunately, no action is being taken against them.
He asked the people to take safety measures by themselves as the government has failed to provide them security.
“The people of Karachi are waiting for the crackdown against terrorists. The government and army chief must take notice of deteriorating law and order situation in the metropolis,” he added.
