PESHAWAR-

An ‘accidental blast’ in  a militant hideour killed at least three militant suspects in Tirah Vally of Khyber, private media reported.

According to reports, the blast was caused when explosives stored at a den of Lashkar-e-Islam (LI) in Sipah village went off.

The incident was followed by mortar shelling by security forces, killing four more militant suspects.

A military operation ‘Khyber-One’ continues in Khyber Agency, one of the seven semi-autonomous zones of Pakistan near the Pak-Afghan border rife with militancy.

Militant groups including LI, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and al Qaeda have strongholds in the region.
