President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif Thursday expressed resolve to continue the operation against militants in full swing till the elimination of last terrorist.
In a meeting held at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, the prime minister briefed the president about the All Parties Conference (APC) held in Peshawar following the terrorist attack at a school that killed more than 142 people, mostly children.
The prime minister apprised the president that the political parties unanimously agreed to completely eliminate the scourge of militancy and extremism from the country.
Hussain welcomed the unanimity agreed upon at the APC and added that this showed the unflinching determination of Pakistani nation to collectively thwart the nefarious designs of anti-state elements.
Both dignitaries expressed solidarity with the bereaved families of the martyred innocent school children and the brave jawans of Pakistan Army and assured that the whole nation stood by them in this trying time.
