Indian meddling

Indians did before 1971 and Indians are doing it even now, unabated. The 1971 war was started long before November 21, 1971; sponsoring of terrorism inside the then East Pakistan was started and nurtured by the Indians much before that. That was not only covert but glaring on part of India that stooped so low to get passed resolution through its parliament to launch attack against Pakistan approving support for Bengali insurgents. After elections in 1970, delay in transfer of power was part of an internal democratic process, and it provided no reason for India to attack and dismember Pakistan. Despite that India committed a naked aggression. India openly admitted training Mukti Bahni, opening training camps inside India, and infiltrating RAW agents and launching naked aggression.

Now, India’s saag.org admits India’s involvement in Balochistan, FATA and elsewhere, on the same ‘1971-victory’ pattern. Under Modi-appointed ex-RAW’s Golden Temple massacre mastermind Doval, and Chhota Rajan gang, this violation of international law, meddling in Pakistan’s internal affairs and sponsoring of terrorism has been not only geared up, but the tone, tenor and trends are sending signals of taking the South Asian region to a brink of another blood war. Indian provocations on LoC and Working Boundary, aggressive behaviour on diplomatic levels, humiliation of Hockey and Cricket players and stalling of talks’ process is leading to damage Pakistan’s ongoing war against terror under the so far successful Zarb-e-Azb operation.

A war was easy to start perhaps in 1971 to dismember an already distanced part from Pakistan, but the same formula cannot be applied as today’s Pakistan is much more aware, strong, and already battle hardened, especially in the asymmetric warfare, with all awareness as to who is the real enemy.

  1. India was fully involved in cross border terrorism in former East Pakistan in 1971. It invaded Pakistan and disintegrated Pakistan. From day first India is our stanch enemy. Since strength respects strength so we should make Pakistan economically and militarily strong that is the only way we can survive in a hostile neighborhood.

  2. Indians were also involved in creating, arming, and training LTTE terrorists in Sri Lanka to wage a proxy war against the island nation. That war cost Sri Lanka in the death of five hundred thousand lives of it's citizens.

  4. I suggest, if someone really want to go in depth with regard to 1971 war, to watch documentary of nazm sethi and barrister bashrani on you tube. Yes India played the role in creation of bangladesh but who gave them a chance to play their role? If we hadnt denied muzbir rehman , who won by 80% of majority, from forming govt we still would have eastern pakistan by our side. Muzbir rehman was not only denied but also humiliated as he was told bengali cant be a prime minister of pakistan. Reality is civil govt in pakistan is puppet to army general. You can imagine what happened in kargil war? How musharaf handled pakistan for a decade? Bugti was shot dead openly in dictor style manner. How do we expect baloch to integrate with pak. Hafeez and dawood masterminds of mumbai attacks, both of them have bounties on their heads by US, are roaming freely here. How does this one help us not to look non terrorist state on world stage. No international team or tourists want to come here anymore. From zia ul haq to musharaf , what did we achive under these genrals rule. We gone backwards. Its time to get rid of army rule and adapt indian style structure of admin where military is under president not the otherway around. In the name of defence arent we selling pakistani resources to china? They are mining in gilgit for past 10 years, now they got sandek gold mines on platter. Gawdor port has been leasdd for 100 years. What are trying to acheive in long run?

    • Well said, always easy to blame others for own inept and corrupt governments giving in to jihadists. …
Lift your head off the sand and do a reality check, it still not irreparable.

  5. Let’s put human values back at the heart of our policies and everyday decisions. Let the religious “beliefs” or the parties do not dictate our policies…wish both countries did this.

  6. Pakistan- Bangladesh:
During the 1971 Bangladesh genocide there were widespread killings and acts of ethnic cleansing of civilians in Bangladesh (then East Pakistan, a province of Pakistan), and widespread violations of human rights were carried out by the Pakistani Army, which was supported by political and religious militias during the Bangladesh Liberation War. In Bangladesh, the atrocities are identified as a genocide. Time magazine reported that "The Hindus, who account for three-fourths of the refugees and a majority of the dead, have borne the brunt of the Muslim military's hatred."
The Bangladesh Liberation War (1971) resulted in one of the largest genocides of the 20th century. While estimates of the number of casualties was 3,000,000, it is reasonably certain that Hindus bore a disproportionate brunt of the Pakistan Army's onslaught against the Bengali population of what was East Pakistan. An article in Time magazine dated 2 August 1971, stated "The Hindus, who account for three-fourths of the refugees and a majority of the dead, have borne the brunt of the Muslim military hatred."
Senator Edward Kennedy wrote in a report that was part of United States Senate Committee on Foreign Relations testimony dated 1 November 1971, "Hardest hit have been members of the Hindu community who have been robbed of their lands and shops, systematically slaughtered, and in some places, painted with yellow patches marked "H". All of this has been officially sanctioned, ordered and implemented under martial law from Islamabad". In the same report, Senator Kennedy reported that 80% of the refugees in India were Hindus and according to numerous international relief agencies such as UNESCO and World Health Organization the number of East Pakistani refugees at their peak in India was close to 10 million. Given that the Hindu population in East Pakistan was around 11 million in 1971, this suggests that up to 8 million, or more than 70% of the Hindu population had fled the country.
In Bangladesh, the Bangladesh National Party is regarded as an anti-Hindu party, and reportedly encourages anti-Hindu views and sentiments among the Muslim majority.Prominent political leaders frequently fall back on "Hindu bashing" in an attempt to appeal to extremist sentiment and to stir up communal passions. In one of the most notorious utterances of a mainstream Bangladeshi figure, the then Prime Minister Khaleda Zia, while leader of the opposition in 1996, declared that the country was at risk of hearing "uludhhwani" (a Bengali Hindu custom involving women's ululation) from mosques, replacing the azaan (Muslim call to prayer).
