Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif on Sunday said that new plans of the ‘container group’ will also fail and die their ‘own death’, private media reported.
“The container group’s plan C and plan D will also fail like A and B and die their own death,” he is reported to have said during a meeting with Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Shahbaz Sharif at their Jati Umra residence in Raiwind.
PM also advised Pakistan Tehreek -e -Insaf(PTI) chief Imran Khan to abandon the politics of sit-ins and come to negotiating table instead of staging demands on roads.
He further said that if PTI is so concerned about the sufferings of people, it should present its demands on floor of the parliament.
Nawaz claimed that some anti-democratic forces are plotting against the elected government and now their agenda has been revealed before people.
The premier also appreciated the schemes of Punjab government and advised CM to provide the benefits of record cut in fuel prices to public.
During the meeting all the important matters related to national politics, economy, PTI agitation and development schemes in Punjab were discussed.
According to sources, the Premier and Punjab CM also agreed to resume talks with PTI.
CM Punjab said that the politics of agitation should be stopped and issues should be discussed on table.
“The country cannot bear any more agitation and confrontation,” Shahbaz stated.
He further added that the government of Punjab has relaxed the conditions to acquire loans under self-employment scheme.
Since the late ZAB nobody evokes more passion amongst the people of Pakistan than Imran. He has the chrisma, the education and the staying power of a sprtsman. His "container" politics may not be ideal but he has certainly "contained" the Shariff brothers in their tracks. They are totally confused, grasping at the straws. The country is not functioning. It has become a circus.
It is also a great tribute to the staying power of the Shariff,s school of management that Nawaz and Shabaz keep on coming back irrespective of odds stacked against them. Only God knows how they manage it.
