Additional District and Sessions Judge and NA-122 Returning Officer Shahida Saeed on Monday rejected the objection by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan Counsel on presence of representatives of candidates, who didn’t challenge the election, during segregation of national and provincial constituencies’ record in NA-122.
Khan had moved an application pleading that he challenged the election of National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq before the election tribunal and approached the Election Commission for inspection of NA-122 record.
He pointed out that other candidates from the constituency neither challenged the election nor approached the election commission for the inspection of NA-122 record.
But, now the representatives of other candidates had also joined the segregation process, he added. He pleaded to restrain representatives of other candidates from supervising the segregation process.
However, the returning officer rejected the application and ordered to re-start the segregation process on November 25.
