As many as three persons were killed and two others injured in violence incidents in the city on Friday.
Abdul Rehman, 28, was gunned down in a police encounter in Gulshan-e-Bunair, Landhi. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for an autopsy.
In another incident, a criminal of Lyari gang war Baba Ladla Group, Nadeem alias Japan, was killed in a police encounter in Lyari. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi for an autopsy.
According to SSP City Shiraz Nazir, during police encounter with criminals, Lyari gang war accused was killed. He was main accused in Jhatpat market attack in which 16 people, including 12 women and children, were killed. He was also involved in Head Constable Zaman’s murder in 2009, the SSP said.
Yet in another incident, a bullet-riddled body of a man was found in Paposh Nagar opposite to Abbssi Shaheed Hospital. The victim was identified as Anayat, 30, son of Ashraf. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for an autopsy.
Meanwhile, Nabeel, 30, was critically injured in a police encounter near NIPA police station. The injured was shifted to Civil Hospital for treatment.
Furthermore, Hussain, 22, son of Abdul Razzaq, was shot and injured near Nipear police station. He was shifted to CHK for treatment.
