Pakistan Railways and National Logistic Cell signed an agreement in the presence of PR Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique for provision of ten locomotives by NLC for freight operation at PR Headquarters on Friday.
Director General NLC Major General Asghar Nawaz and PR General Manager Operations M Javaid Anwar Boobak signed the documents of the agreement while Quarter Master General Pakistan Army and Officer In-charge of NLC Lieutenant General Najeeb Ullah Khan were also present on the occasion.
Addressing the ceremony, the minister said the agreement dispelled the false impression that the PR and the NLC were two rivals and expressed his hope the both departments would join hands in future for more joint ventures.
He declared the moment of signing as an important historic moment for Pakistan and Railways.
