ISLAMABAD-
Government, on Friday, decided to take action against Awami Muslim League (AML) Chief Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad for provoking the sentiments of nation against government in his speech at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rally at Nankana Sahib on November 12, a private news channel reported.
His arrest is expected in the next 72 hours, according to sources. Meanwhile, Ministry of Finance and Federal Bureau of Revenue (FBR) have also delivered notices to AML chief.
Concerned departments also got hold of Rasheed’s speeches delivered in the span of past 3 months.
The AML chief is blamed to deliver an aggressive speech against the government, provoking nation to stand up against government and thus resulting in an open confrontation among the state institutions.
I can't stand this guy like all the rest of the politicians but since the government is always singing the democracy song, they should realize that democracy without freedom of speech is not possible.
