AML chief Sheikh Rasheed to be arrested for mutiny call

Government, on Friday, decided to take action against Awami Muslim League (AML) Chief Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad for provoking the sentiments of nation against government  in his speech at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rally at Nankana Sahib on November 12, a private news channel reported.

His arrest is expected in the next 72 hours, according to sources. Meanwhile, Ministry of Finance and Federal Bureau of Revenue (FBR) have also delivered notices  to AML chief.

Concerned departments also got hold of  Rasheed’s speeches delivered in the span of past 3 months.

The AML chief is blamed to deliver an aggressive speech against the government, provoking nation to stand up against government and thus resulting in an open confrontation among the state institutions.

  1. I can't stand this guy like all the rest of the politicians but since the government is always singing the democracy song, they should realize that democracy without freedom of speech is not possible.

  2. Open confrontation is of course on the cards if things are not turning as peoples of Islamic Republic Of Pakistan are demanding, Go Nawaz Go

  3. This guys soent more time in jail than in politics. His last charge was possesing weapons and ammunition without a license – bogus charges but none the less he dod the time.
