Sindh Assembly expresses grief over Khairpur accident

Members of the treasury and opposition in the Sindh Assembly Tuesday demanded to establish emergency centres on the National Highway.

According to details, the Sindh Assembly session headed by Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani started an hour late wherein condolences on police officers’ deaths and murders of six Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leaders were offered.

The government and opposition leaders expressed grief over the Khairpur incident and demanded all possible assistance for the affectees. Provincial Minister Jam Mehtab Dahar said initial reports had revealed driver’s negligence behind the accident.

On the other hand, Muttahidda Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Khawaja Izhar-ul-Hassan stated that there had been no development on the Sindh Assembly’s road safety resolution. Moreover, Opposition Leader Shehryar Mehar insisted to complete construction process of the highway as soon as possible.
