Five suspects were arrested in Multan for making pro-Islamic State (IS) graffiti and attaching posters supporting the militant outfit on different walls of the city. Moreover, a case was registered in Lahore’s Nawab Town Police Station against unidentified people involved in the illegal activity.

Some unidentified people have started pasting stickers and posters of the terrorist organisation IS, also known as Daesh, in Lahore, Multan and other cities of Punjab.

Posters supporting the militant organisation – which has its roots in Syria and Iraq – were seen in Nawab Town, Thokar Niaz Beg and Chungh and on the Canal Road in Lahore.

Citizens informed the police of the posters following which the police reached the scene and removed the posters. Investigations are underway to identify the people who launched the campaign.
