A case has been registered against National Highway Authority( NHA) for Tuesday’s deadly road accident that took place in Khairpur town of Sindh, a private news channel reported.
58 people were killed and several others were injured , including women and children, when an overloaded passenger bus, travelling from Swat to Karachi, collided with a truck.
Bad condition of the road was primary cause of the accident, according to the initial report of Motorway Authorities. However, NHA rejected the allegations.
According to police sources, a case of the incident, on the complaint of the police, has been filed in Shah Hussain Police station.
Dead bodies of the victims, mostly belonging to Swat town of KPK, were handed over to heirs.
Funeral prayers of five victims were offered at Old Sabzi Mandi area of Karachi today. Four of them belonged to the same family.
