An investigative reporter has claimed that the government has set up a covert cell in the basement of COMSATS Headquarters in Islamabad’s G-5 Sector to allegedly manipulate the results of four constituencies where Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan says massive rigging was carried out in last year’s general election.

According to tweets by Asad Kharal, an investigative journalist associated with a local English daily, the cell headed by Lt Colonel (r) Khalid Manzoor Khattak and comprising Zeeshan Butt and Junaid Shaukat is allegedly manufacturing fake ballot papers for the four constituencies by printing fingerprints from the NADRA database in order to match the already declared results.

The reporter also claimed that the government was using delay tactics for ordering vote recount in the four constituencies because it was waiting for the special cell to complete its task.

“Delaying tactics are used to let the cell complete its work. As soon as it completes task, Government will offer #IK to do the recount!” Kharal tweeted.

Imran Khan had on Tuesday made a similar revelation, saying that he would present evidence against the three men and of rigging during his Independence Day rally on August 14. He also said that evidence regarding the involvement of different institutions and individuals, including cells established in the Lahore High Court and GOR, would also be made public.
