A man was hospitalised Sunday as he attempted suicide after killing his wife for ‘honour’.
The police said that the accused, who hails from Davita area in the suburbs of Chiniot, suspected the character of his wife.
On the day of the incident, the two exchanged hot words, following which the man stabbed his wife to death with a sharp weapon. Later, the murderer consumed poisonous pills in a suicide attempt but was rushed to hospital in critical condition.
