The Islamabad High Court (IHC) will hear the petition Tuesday challenging the appointment of Siddiqul Farooq as chairman of Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB).
The petition has been filed by on Irshad Ali Bhatti, who through Dr Babar Awan has challenged the appointment of Farooq to the said post. It has been pleaded in the petition that Supreme Court in its judgment has clearly directed the government to strictly follow merit and competitive process while filling the important key posts. However the government setting aside the apex court’s direction has appointed its blue-eyed boy to a very sensitive and key post.
