*Court moved to ban slogan to avert conflict between PML-N, PTI supporters

The ‘Go Nawaz Go’ slogan which is getting increasingly popular both inside and outside the country has been challenged in the Lahore High Court (LHC).

As per details, an application was filed with the LHC by an ordinary citizen on Saturday seeking a ban on the slogan.

The applicant argued that there is a fear of clash between supporters of two major parties – the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) – due to this slogan.

Such freedom of speech that causes turmoil and disorder should be curbed, the applicant prayed.

PTI led by its chief Imran Khan is instrumental behind popularity of this slogan in its protests against the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s government during the last few weeks.
