Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Secretary General Liaqat Baloch on Monday said that demands put forth by Dr Tahirul Qadri on Sunday were ill-timed, contradictory and were presented at a time when the country was heading towards elections.
Commenting on the Dr Qadri’s address, he said that on one hand Qadri was saying that he did not want elections being postponed and on the other, he had given a deadline of January 14 for the implementation of the constitution or else he would lead a long march to Islamabad. The JI leader questioned Dr Qadri on how it was possible for the judiciary to being forth a new leadership without elections. He also said that it was the prerogative of the people to decide their next government, not Dr Qadri.
Baloch said that JI had been among the most vocal parties demanding a full implementation of the constitution, well before Dr Qadri appeared on the scene. The JI leader called for an immediate announcement of a caretaker government and an election schedule, adding that JI would not stand for a delay in polls.

  1. It is very unfortunate that people who fled the country, assumed foreign citizenship(s), left the nation on the mercy of the corrupt politicians and generals are now claiming to be the real leaders of the nation. How can we allow dual citizens be our leaders?

I have great respect for Mr. Qadri as being a great scholar but that alone is not enough qualification to be our leader of change. Leaders who have stayed in Pakistan all along and have genuinely struggled for the state of Pakistan have this right. Those who have managed to wake up the public should be the only ones allowed to lead us through the imminent change.

Leaders of defunct political parties, who remained tight lipped over the accesses against judiciary, have no right. Mr. Qadri and Mr. Altaf Hussain are both dual citizens and have nothing at stake in Pakistan. Their organizations have never presented audited accounts. Minhaj-ul-Quran as well as MQM were raised out of public land obtained at meaningless rates and/or public funds. One can go to M-block in model town extension and witness himself as to how Minhaj-ul-Quran has occupied public parks and closed down the public roads. I am quite confident similar situation exists around 90.

Politicians have deceived Pakistani nation nation over and over again by exploiting our emotions. The fake leaders of change will pack their bags and leave the country again just like Moeen Qureshi and Shaukat Aziz. They have nothing at stake in Pakistan. Neither Mr. Qadri nor Mr. Altaf Hussain can be our Khomenis. The incumbents in federal as well as provincial and state(AJK) capitol cities have zero credibility left as well.

  2. "THERE IS A FACE BEHIND EVERY CASE" FAMOUS QUOTE OF SHEIKH RASHID.
LET HIM TELL US THE CASE AND FACE OF QADRI SAHIB
