Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) vice chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi said on Saturday that Sindh was ready for the change.
Qureshi, who has arrived Larkana, held a meeting with former chief minister of Sindh and estranged PML-N leader Mumtaz Ali Bhutto.
The PTI’s central leader held talks with Mumtaz Bhutto and gave a message of Imran Khan to him inviting him to join the PTI.
Mumtaz Bhutto complained that ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz had let down him and didn’t comply with the promises made with him before the elections.
Talking to media, Qureshi said Sindh had been prepared for the change and the PTI would redress all injustices with Sindh.
The two leaders in an hour-long meeting exchanged views over the political situation of the country. Qureshi also paid homage at the tomb of former Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) chairperson Benazir Bhutto in Garhi Khuda Bakhsh, Larkana.
“The PPP workers are disappointed in Punjab and Sindh because the party has left the mission of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, who was the real leader of PPP,” Qureshi said.
“We are struggling for democracy and our demands are within the constitution,” he said.
The ghosts of the past are being brought to life again. We thought PTI would bring in fresh blood but then old is gold in pakistan.
Sir you are right but this is what we call politics… Imran needs vote-bank Politicians…. Imran has learnt that new generation and new canditiates won't succeed in the areas (no offence) where people are worshiped like in majority of Sindh, Multan etc… That;s why u can only see new candidates in KPK nd intellectual urban areas… Imran also wanted to label his party with the fact that Imran is opening the eyes of our old-school politicians and they are sensing a sign of change in Pakistan with Imran…. the answer to the question that how would imran succeed with those politicians is: Imran's party is basically a one-man show just like Z.A.Bhutto's PPP so either people will agree to him or will not join his party….. So the part of being black-mailed from them becomes negligible…….
Mumtaz Ali Bhutto should join PTI. This will strengthen PTI's position in Sindh. The Sindhi's who have been neglected for a long period, will then see a major change in the development of their province. Sindh has great potential and will become a major economic force under the PTI government.
Mr. Mumtaz Ali Bhutto please consider joining PTI seriously.
