ISLAMABAD-
Rescue and relief activities continued Friday in the flood-affected areas of the country.
A total of 18 helicopters and five hundred and 27 boats are being used to rescue people.
360 relief camps have been established in Punjab.National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has provided 20,000 tents in Punjab, 3000 in Azad Kashmir and 275 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
PDMA has also released 40,000 tents.
Boats, blankets, mineral water, food hampers and life jackets are being provided by the disaster management authorities to the affected people.
According to Chairman National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) Major General Saeed Aleem, 10 districts of Punjab are affected due to the floods so far and the death toll has mounted to 274 in the province.
He also added that 3,000 villages and 1.1 million people have been affected while Jhang, Chiniot, and Hafizabad districts were the most affected areas.
