Together we will defeat terrorists, COAS tells tribesmen

• General Sharif says most of NWA areas cleansed of terrorists, others will be cleared soon

Hoping to be hosted by the members of tribal community after they are settled back in their areas after the military operation, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif Saturday said that North Waziristan Agency (NWA) would be cleared of terrorists with tribesmen’s help, as they had played their part for Pakistan’s freedom.

The COAS reached NWA on the occasion of Pakistan’s Defence Day and celebrated the event with the army men busy in the ongoing military operation Zarb-e-Azb. He also met the tribal elders at Bakka Khail camp of the internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Bannu.

Addressing the IDPs, General Sharif said that most of NWA areas had been cleansed of terrorists and others will be cleared soon.
