At least 11 people were killed and nine others wounded on Sunday when two buses collided in the city area of Faiz Ganj.
According to police sources, the speeding vehicles bumped into each other on Mehran National Highway near Faiz Ganj.
The bodies and injured were shifted to hospitals in Faiz Ganj and Nawabshah.
Sources said one person succumbed to his injuries in the hospital. It was feared that the death toll might rise further due to the critical condition of some of the injured. An investigation has been launched into the accident.
President Mamnoon Hussain, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah and Sindh Governor Ishratul Ebad have expressed grief over the incident.
