The citizens have heaved a sigh of great relief as petrol and CNG outlets after three consecutive days of forced closure started reopening, containers blocking the roads removed and traffic flow restored in the provincial capital on Monday morning.

Sources said petrol pumps and CNG stations, which were forced to close down and road blocks placed at all the city entry points since Thursday night to thwart Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) observing Shuhada week, have started reopening this morning, much to the relief of the virtually besieged citizens.

The citizens expressing their pleasure over the removal of the containers from the roads said that the government under no circumstances should take such measures of blocking roads and fuel stations virtually putting the people under house arrests for no fault of their own.
