Petition in LHC to stop PTI from marching!

The Lahore High Court (LHC) has admitted for hearing a petition seeking court’s orders to stop the Pakistan Tehreek-e- Insaf (PTI) long march to Islamabad.

The court has sought reply from all the parties concerned today on this count. The petitioner Kamran, a citizen of Faisalabad, has taken plea in his petition Imran Khan is going to stage long march in Islamabad on August 14 on the eve of the Independence Day. Staging long march on the occasion of the Independence Day is a bid to divide the nation and create anarchy in the country. Court is therefore, requested that orders be issued for sorting out the matters through dialogue and parliament, he prayed.

Justice Khalid Mehmood of the LHC while admitting the petition for hearing has summoned reply from the federal government, provincial government and home secretary today.
