Islamabad Police have arrested 11 outlaws from various areas of the city besides recovering stolen bike, 240 wine bottles, five unlicensed pistols, and other looted items from their possession on Saturday.
Islamabad SSP Muhammad Ali Nekokara has assigned the task to all SDPOs and SHOs to curb activities of mischievous elements through high vigilance and effective policing. Following the directives, strict patrolling is being maintained in the city and during last 24 hours.
Lohi Bher Police arrested accused Dawood Masih and recovered stolen bike from him. Shalimar Police arrested two accused namely Faizan Ishfaq and Shahzad Muhammad and recovered two pistols along with seven bullets from their possession. Tarnol Police arrested accused Muhammad Hanif. Nilor Police arrested accused Waqas and recovered one 30 bore pistol along with ammunition from his possession. Shahzad Town Police arrested bootleggers namely Gull Zari and recovered 240 wine bottles from him and also arrested two accused namely Waheed and Muhammad Saleem and recovered one 30 bore unlicensed pistol along with ammunition. Industrial Area Police arrested accused namely Umer Farooq, involved in murder of Shahban.
Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway.
Islamabad police also nabbed two proclaimed offenders during crackdown against absconders and have also accelerated the efforts to arrest those who are at large, despite their involvement in crimes of heinous nature.
Meanwhile, three vehicles and 58 bikes were also impounded during checking which were being driven without authentic documents, while eight professional alm-seekers were also nabbed.
