*CM says government working hard to ensure prices stay low, quality stays high
Punjab government’s efforts to keep a check on quality, quantity and prices of essential items at Ramazan bazaars have yielded positive results and people have been relieved in the real sense, said Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shahbaz Sharif while addressing a meeting of Punjab Price Control Committee through a video link on Monday. The CM said that an effective system has been adopted to check the quality and prices of essential items in Ramazan bazaars to provide relief to the people while action is being taken against hoarders and profiteers without any discrimination. He vowed that no one will be allowed to exploit the masses. He said that no compromise will be made on the provision of quality essential commodities to the citizens at concessionary rates and no laxity or negligence will be tolerated in this regard.
