Tourists throng Murree on weekends

To keep themselves away from the hot and humid weather conditions and to enjoy the beauty of nature, a large number of tourists from different parts of the country throng Murree.

The resorts including Pindi Point, Mall Road and Ayubia have become a source of attraction for such tourists even in the holy month of Ramazan.

There have been witnessed a number of families hailing from KPK and Punjab who spend whole of the Ramazan in this beautiful hilly area.

A visitor, Sher Ali, said he stayed most of the time abroad and had come to Murree with his family a day before the commencement of Ramazan. He said he would stay in Murree till 28th of Ramazan as there was extreme weather in his native area, Noshehra.

Sher Ali said Murree had been developed as par international standard having all the facilities for visitors’ enjoyment.

Almost all the small and big hotels are booked on weekends especially those surrounding the Mall Road, which is the hub of Murree and flooded with tourists in this season.

“I am enjoying the weather here,” said Asim Raza, a visitor, adding, “We are spending good family time and especially the children are very happy.” He said Murree had enjoyable entertainment facilities and lauded the civic body for establishing numerous attractive picnic spots. He urged the local administration to develop more recreational facilities to attract visitors, considering the easy accessibility of Murree and the natural beauty it embedded.
