The Supreme Court (SC) has dismissed petition filed by a firm named Crystal against Anjum Aqeel for handing over 45 kanals of land to the National Police Foundation (NPF), saying that the court cannot hear this case as the said firm was not party to the original case.
A three-member bench of the SC presided over by Justice Nasirul Mulk took up for hearing police foundation land case on Monday.
Aqeel’s lawyer Ali Khan said there were contradictions among the inquiry reports. The court accepted as it is the report given by Zafar Qureshi who was the NPF’s MD.
Hamid Khan said he was appearing on behalf of the former management of NPF. It has two aspects. No offence has been committed by signing an agreement with Aqeel. Steps have been taken by taking into account the law and protecting the interests of all.
The hearing of the case was adjourned until Tuesday (today).
