In compliance with the directives of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has sent relief goods for the flood-hit people of Bosnia.

Heavy rains in Bosnia and Herzegovina have resulted in catastrophic flooding in major cities and landslides in mountainous regions, causing widespread infrastructural damages besides displacing many people.

The government of Pakistan has extended humanitarian relief assistance for the flood affected people as a gesture of solidarity with the Bosnians.

The first flight of a C-130 aircraft carrying relief consignment has been despatched. The consignment included tents, blankets, mats, clothing items, kitchen sets, sleeping bags and food items for the affected families.

NDMA Chairman Major General Saeed Aleem handed over the relief consignment to Bosnian Ambassador to Pakistan Nedim Makarevic at Chaklala Air Base, Rawalpindi.

The ambassador thanked the Government of Pakistan for its support and timely response to help the flood hit families.
