Imran questions Sethi’s honesty

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has pointed out to the conflict of interest in the appointment of Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Najam Sethi, saying that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government had bestowed the chairmanship to Jang Group’s Sethi for fixing “35 punctures” in last year’s general election.

“In return, Sethi as PCB chairman favored his employer Geo News by “snatching” cricket tournaments’ broadcasting rights worth Rs 10 billion from Pakistan Television (PTV) for Geo Super sports channel.

Reiterating his reservations on the May 2013 elections, he said that his party had issued a 2,100-page white paper on four constituencies, demanding an audit. However, he regretted that justice was not delivered.

Accusing “everyone” of being a party in rigging elections, the skipper went on to saying that former chief justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry was also involved in rigging the elections.
