A local journalist was shot dead in Mianwali in the south Punjab on Tuesday, while the motives behind the murder are yet to be ascertained.
Police sources said Shahzad Iqbal and his brother were on their way on a motorbike when unidentified gunmen intercepted them and opened indiscriminate fire on them.
Shahzad suffered multiple bullet wounds and died on way to the hospital while his brother was critically injured in the attack.
Police is investigating motives behind the murder.
