PPP offered equal rights to all communities: Sharmila

Special Assistant to Sindh Chief Minister for Culture and Tourism Sharmila Faruqui has said that there was no discrimination in the country over religious beliefs, and the PPP had always offered equal rights to all the communities.

He said this while cutting a cake to mark the celebration of Easter at a programme organised by Christian Resource Center at Holy Trinity Church Karachi. She said Islam was the religion of peace and brotherhood, adding that the Muslim community, especially PPP Sindh government always joined other communities in their grief and jubilation. Sharmila said Pakistan was passing through its toughest era, and not only Christian community but people from all walks of life, including journalists, politicians, and law enforcement agencies were also facing security threats. At the programme, special prayers were offered for national solidarity, peace and prosperity of Pakistan.
