A clash between two student groups at the Bahauddin Zakriya University (BZU) left five persons injured on Tuesday.
The clash began when an altercation took place between two student groups outside the university library, following which reports of aerial firing were received as the student groups were seen hitting each other with wooden sticks.
Media reports said a large contingent of the police entered the university to bring the situation under control.
The university administration has announced that action would be taken against those found to be involved in the clash.
