Following Wednesday’s powerful blast which claimed 24 lives, capital’s fruit market opened Friday after one-day mourning.
Although the usual trading activities after a day’s break have started, yet the gloom over the fruit and vegetable market remained overwhelming as the labourers and traders were seen still under a shock, remembering their lost buddies.
The federal government has announced a compensation of Rs 500,000 to the heirs of each dead and Rs 75,000 to each of the injured in the powerful blast that had occurred on Wednesday as a bomb planted in guava crate went off during auction of the fruits.
Shah also said that there was no demand under discussion regarding imposition of Sharia in the country. He said that the members would try to address the concerns of the religious parties but it would take some time to yield positive results.
