PESCO cuts power of 29 Hangu villages

The Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) on Saturday disconnected electricity supply of 29 villages of Hangu due to non-payment of dues.
PESCO spokesman Shaukat Afzal said that the 29 Hangu villages have to pay Rs 260 million. Moreover, 2,710 illegal connections have been dismantled in Hangu.
While nine transformers have been pulled off for non-payment of Rs 10 million in Doaba area.
The PESCO magistrate in Peshawar has sent seven people to jail for electricity theft.
